How to play

Every enemy needs one spell (shown as TARGET). Load three elements, invoke, cast before it reaches you.

Q W E	load Quas (ice), Wex (lightning), Exort (fire); up to 3 orbs, order does not matter
R	invoke the spell your three orbs make
D F	cast the spell in that slot
H	recipe list (on the menu and after a run)
G	recipe hint on/off
M	sound on/off

On a phone, use the on-screen buttons. New to it? Start with TUTORIAL in the menu.

Questions

Do I need an account or internet?

No. The Android app works fully offline and needs no account. Only the optional global leaderboards (Android) need you to be signed in to Google Play Games.

Where are my records?

On your device only. Uninstalling the app (or clearing site data in the browser) deletes them, and they cannot be restored. Results you sent to the global leaderboards stay with your Google Play Games profile.

How do I get on the global leaderboards?

On Android, open LEADERBOARD in the menu and tap GLOBAL RANKING. Sign in to Google Play Games when asked. Your PLAY score and your SURVIVAL time are then ranked for today, this week and all time. Players who do not sign in keep the leaderboard of their own device.

Does the recipe hint keep my run out of the ranks?

No. Since version 1.6.1 a run with the recipe hint on is ranked and sets records like any other.

Where are elites, bosses, runes and items explained?

In the game itself: the first time you meet one, a short tip explains it and the game waits while you read. The GUIDE button in the menu lists all of them again. SETTINGS has a TIPS row to show the tips once more.

Can I move the on-screen buttons?

Yes, on a phone or tablet: SETTINGS, then BUTTON LAYOUT. Drag a group of buttons where your thumbs rest, split them into two groups (Q W E and R D F), choose their size, or tap RESET to go back to the default.

How do I pause?

Press Esc (the Back button on a phone, or tap PAUSE at the top right). From the pause you can resume or go back to the menu.
